Pharmacist in Charge in Clementon, NJ

Take on a leadership role overseeing pharmacy operations in a dynamic community setting. This position offers a contract with options for contract-to-hire, and a schedule of Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, with Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM. The pharmacy utilizes Pioneer RX software and maintains a daily prescription volume of 20-25 scripts, supported by a skilled pharmacy tech team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure full regulatory compliance with state and federal laws, including accountability for investigations related to improper activities.
• Manage, train, and supervise pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures for medication dispensing, safety, and security protocols.
• Oversee inventory management, with special attention to accurate record-keeping and proper storage of all medications, including controlled substances.
• Drive patient safety and quality assurance initiatives, conduct patient counseling, and implement continuous performance improvement programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and clear New Jersey pharmacist license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years management experience in a pharmacy setting.
• At least 3 years of recent community pharmacy experience preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is essential.
• Familiarity with Pioneer RX pharmacy software is a plus.
