A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead a newly established outpatient community pharmacy in Newark, NJ. This full-time, contract-to-hire position represents a unique leadership opportunity to oversee pharmacy operations from the ground up, helping build a dedicated team and delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily pharmacy workflow and operations
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory standards
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop pharmacy staff
  • Manage inventory and quality assurance programs
  • Provide clinical oversight and patient counseling
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and leadership teams
  • Support the successful launch and sustainable growth of the pharmacy

Qualifications:

  • Active New Jersey Pharmacist License required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist-in-Charge
  • Strong background in community pharmacy operations
  • Proven leadership and staff management skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred
  • Experience with PrimeRx, MicroMerchant, or similar pharmacy systems is a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Schedule:

  • Full-Time
  • Monday through Saturday during daytime operating hours
