Take on a critical leadership role as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a specialized 503A compounding pharmacy. This position oversees the complete pharmacy operation, ensuring compliance with stringent state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP regulations. As the highest-level pharmacy leader, you will manage all sterile and non-sterile compounding processes while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses.
- Act as the primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure timely reporting of operational, ownership, facility, or PIC changes.
- Lead the oversight of sterile and non-sterile compounding operations.
- Manage quality assurance programs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
- Oversee batch record creation, review, and approval to maintain compliance.
- Support production scheduling to meet on-time delivery and inventory targets.
Qualifications:
- Active PA Pharmacist License.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as PIC or Pharmacy Manager.
- Extensive knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and relevant regulations for 503A compounding.
- Proven experience in leading audits and managing regulatory inspections.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
- Saturdays flexible as needed
