Pharmacist in Charge in Coatesville, PA

A healthcare facility is seeking an Interim Staff Pharmacist with Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) responsibilities to provide coverage from May 18 through June 30, with a possibility of extension. This role requires a Pennsylvania pharmacist license and inpatient experience to manage pharmacy operations in a small 10-bed micro-hospital setting.

Location:

• West Grove, PA

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shift
• On-call duties required, though call-ins are rare

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume PIC duties, overseeing all pharmacy operations in a micro-hospital environment with a 10-bed ED and 10 inpatient beds
• Perform audits and restocking tasks independently, as there is no support staff or pharmacy technician assistance available
• Utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell for automation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation
• Coordinate remotely with the local PIC and Pharmacy Director for onboarding and ongoing support

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably in a hospital or micro-hospital setting
• Strong ability to manage pharmacy operations without technician support
• Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems is beneficial
• Effective organizational and communication skills for independent work and remote training
