Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Coatesville, Pennsylvania

This opportunity is designed for a licensed Pennsylvania pharmacist ready to assume the critical role of Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a 10-bed micro-hospital setting. Serving as the sole pharmacist on-site, you will be entrusted with the full operation of the hospital’s pharmacy services, ensuring safe and effective medication management in both the emergency department and inpatient units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all pharmacy operations within the hospital.
• Perform PIC duties, including compliance audits and inventory restocking.
• Provide excellent pharmaceutical care for patients in the 10-bed emergency department and inpatient micro-hospital.
• Participate in on-call rotation with minimal likelihood of being called in.
• Utilize the Cerner order entry system and manage medication dispensing with Omnicell automation.
• Collaborate remotely with the local PIC and Pharmacy Director for guidance and training.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist licensure in Pennsylvania is required.
• Demonstrated inpatient pharmacy experience.
• Ability to work independently as the sole pharmacy practitioner on site.
• Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems preferred.

Schedule and Location:

• Coverage needed from May 18 through June 30, with a possibility of extension.
• Monday through Friday daytime shifts.
• Location is within a hospital facility in West Grove, Pennsylvania.
