Pharmacist in Charge - Columbia, MO

An inpatient behavioral health facility located in Columbia, MO is seeking an Interim Pharmacist in Charge/Director of Pharmacy to oversee pharmacy operations and ensure safe, effective medication management. This role requires a proactive professional to lead pharmacy services while the organization recruits a permanent Pharmacist in Charge. The assignment begins on April 29th with two days of cross-training, followed by solo responsibility starting May 1st.

Responsibilities include managing daily pharmacy functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, supervising medication dispensing and repackaging, and maintaining inventory controls. The pharmacist will also support the use of automated dispensing machines and generate restock reports to maintain efficient workflow.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Must hold a valid Missouri Pharmacist License
• Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems preferred
• Knowledge of repackaging medications using Milt, Medi-dose or HCL systems is desirable
• Basic skills in loading drugs into automated machines and running restock reports
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities in a behavioral health pharmacy setting

Location: Columbia, Missouri
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (30-minute unpaid meal break)
