This leadership role in a closed-door pharmacy environment focuses on ensuring compliance with long-term care (LTC) regulations and managing pharmacy operations to support nursing facilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in LTC or closed-door pharmacy settings and demonstrate a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and pharmacy workflows typical to this sector.

Responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to CMS, DEA, and state board rules related to LTC, managing medication distribution systems such as cycle fills and medication carts, and collaborating with consultant pharmacists and interdisciplinary teams. The pharmacist will also work hands-on with eMAR systems and LTC-specific pharmacy software including PrimeCare, DocuTrack, TCGRx, and Parata.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of LTC regulations, including CMS, DEA, and state board requirements applicable to nursing facilities
  • Prior experience in a long-term care or closed-door pharmacy environment (required or highly preferred)
  • Proficiency with eMAR systems, cycle fills, medication carts, and LTC workflow processes
  • Familiarity with LTC pharmacy platforms such as PrimeCare, DocuTrack, TCGRx, and Parata
  • Experience collaborating with consultant pharmacists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care

Education & Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
  • Active Texas Registered Pharmacist license

This direct hire role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $135,000 to $150,000, based on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
