Per Diem Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Cypress, Texas

An established closed-door specialty compounding pharmacy in Cypress, TX is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) on a part-time schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This role involves working in a holistic health and wellness pharmacy that specializes in both sterile and non-sterile compounding; however, the pharmacist will only be responsible for non-sterile compounding such as creams, capsules, and powders.

The pharmacy operates on a cash-pay basis and does not process insurance claims. Script volume ranges between 80-125 prescriptions per day. The pharmacist will be the sole pharmacist on site, supported by one pharmacy technician with plans to hire an additional technician. Pharmacy software utilized is PK Software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter and verify prescriptions accurately
• Fill prescriptions efficiently and safely
• Perform basic non-sterile compounding of medications
• Serve as Pharmacist in Charge with oversight duties appropriate to a small team setting

Desired Qualifications:

• Active, clear pharmacist license in the state of Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience
• Compounding experience preferred but not required
• Comfortable managing a pharmacy independently as the only pharmacist on staff
