Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Dallas, Texas

A high-volume retail and mail-order pharmacy in Irving, Texas, is seeking a part-time Pharmacist in Charge for a 13-week contract assignment starting ASAP. This role involves verifying prescriptions and managing inbound calls from patients and physician offices concerning medications. The pharmacy handles between 1,000 and 1,500 prescriptions daily, operating with DRx software.

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Respond to inbound calls from patients and healthcare providers
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards
• Collaborate with staff to maintain smooth pharmacy operations

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license (California license required)
• Experience working as a Pharmacist in Charge preferred
• Proficient with pharmacy software, ideally DRx
• Ability to manage high prescription volume with attention to detail
• Strong communication skills for patient and provider interactions

Schedule/Hours:

• Part-time, approximately 20-24 hours per week
• Primarily 1st shift, flexible to accommodate candidate availability including day or mid shifts
