A well-established high-volume retail and mail-order pharmacy in Irving, Texas is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge to join their team on a part-time basis for a 13-week assignment starting ASAP. This role offers flexible shift options, primarily 1st shift, with opportunities to work days or mid-shift to accommodate your availability. The pharmacy processes approximately 1,000 to 1,500 prescriptions daily and utilizes DRx software.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently in a high-volume setting
  • Handle inbound calls from patients and physician offices related to medications
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain quality patient care

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Active pharmacist license in Alabama and Texas required; licenses in Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, or Oklahoma are also accepted
  • Additional licenses in Michigan, Massachusetts, Maryland, Louisiana, Mississippi, West Virginia, Kansas, Kentucky, or Nebraska are a plus
  • Experience working with DRx software is preferred
  • Strong communication skills for patient and provider interactions
  • Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced pharmacy environment

Location: Irving, Texas

Hours and Schedule:

  • Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling options available, with shifts primarily on 1st shift and potential for days or mid shift
