Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Dallas, Texas

A retail and mail-order pharmacy in Irving, Texas is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge for a part-time assignment lasting 13 weeks. This role focuses on verifying prescriptions and handling inbound calls from patients and physician offices regarding medications.

Location: Irving, Texas
Schedule:

• Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
• Flexible shift options including 1st shift and mid-shift availability

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently within a high-volume environment (1,000 – 1,500 prescriptions per day)
• Respond professionally to inbound calls from patients and physician offices regarding medications
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations concerning prescription verification
• Utilize DRx pharmacy software proficiently throughout daily operations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist licenses in Texas and Alabama are required (at minimum)
• Pharmacist licenses in Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, and Oklahoma are highly desirable
• Additional licenses in Michigan, Massachusetts, Maryland, Louisiana, Mississippi, West Virginia, Kansas, Kentucky, or Nebraska are a plus
• Prior experience working in a high-volume retail or mail-order pharmacy preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple calls effectively
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities
