A 6-8 week interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) role is available, providing essential leadership and oversight at a busy community pharmacy. This position requires licensure to assume PIC responsibilities with the Nevada Board of Pharmacy. You will manage daily pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and collaborating with an experienced technician team.

Location
Nevada (Dayton area) with contract coverage in Reno, NV.

Schedule/Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing all pharmacy functions and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the pharmacy team, including an experienced technician staff.
  • Ensure safe and accurate dispensing of medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain documentation and records required by the Nevada Board of Pharmacy.
  • Collaborate with management to address operational issues and improve workflow efficiencies.
  • Manage inventory and ensure availability of essential medications and supplies.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

  • Active pharmacist license eligible to serve as PIC in Nevada.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulatory standards in Nevada.
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacist in Charge preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide pharmacy staff.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the pharmacy’s day-to-day operations.
