An established healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead a new outpatient pharmacy in the Newark, NJ area. This full-time, contract-to-hire role offers a unique leadership opportunity to oversee operations, build a dynamic team, and establish a high standard of patient care in a community pharmacy setting.

Location:

  • Newark, NJ

Schedule:

  • Full-Time
  • Monday through Saturday
  • Daytime hours

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily pharmacy operations and workflow efficiently
  • Ensure full compliance with state, federal, and other regulatory requirements
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop pharmacy staff to foster a productive work environment
  • Oversee inventory management and maintain quality assurance protocols
  • Provide clinical oversight and patient counseling to ensure exceptional care
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and leadership to support pharmacy growth and integration
  • Drive the successful launch and expansion of the pharmacy’s services

Qualifications:

  • Active New Jersey Pharmacist License required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist-in-Charge
  • Strong background in community pharmacy operations and leadership
  • Experience using PrimeRx, MicroMerchant, or similar pharmacy management systems is a plus
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
