Pharmacist in Charge in Elk Grove, CA

An interim Pharmacist In Charge opportunity is available for an immediate start in Elk Grove, CA, on a contract basis lasting approximately 8-13 weeks. This role requires a dedicated professional to ensure smooth pharmacy operations and maintain regulatory compliance.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Closed Sundays

Responsibilities:

• Oversee full cycle prescription processing and dispensing, including communication with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients.
• Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Open and close the pharmacy in accordance with all regulations and policies.
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation as the Pharmacist In Charge (PIC).

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent retail pharmacy experience is required.
• Prior experience serving as a Pharmacist In Charge in a retail setting is highly preferred.
• Must hold a valid California pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification and current Basic Life Support (BLS) card are mandatory.
• Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) pharmacy system is essential.
• Ability and willingness to assume full PIC responsibilities and complete all related paperwork.
