An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge to serve as the working manager at a retail outpatient pharmacy connected to a hospital setting. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who thrives in a lower volume environment focused on supporting hospital patient discharge processes.

Location: Hibbing, MN
Position Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Day shifts only (no nights or weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify, fill, and check prescriptions with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
  • Consult with healthcare providers to facilitate optimal patient care and medication management
  • Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, promoting safe and effective use

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Licensure as a Pharmacist in the relevant state
  • Previous experience acting as Pharmacist-in-Charge or in a managerial pharmacy role
  • Ability to oversee and coordinate pharmacy technicians and daily operations
  • Strong communication skills for patient counseling and collaboration with medical staff
  • Familiarity with inpatient discharge medication processes and retail pharmacy distribution
