An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge to oversee pharmacy operations at a retail pharmacy integrated with a hospital setting. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in pharmacy management and patient care, looking to contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment.

Location:

  • Eveleth, MN, with duties supporting a hospital-attached retail pharmacy in Hibbing, MN.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, daytime hours
  • No nights or weekend shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily pharmacy operations as the working pharmacist-in-charge
  • Verify, fill, and accurately check prescriptions to ensure patient safety
  • Oversee and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
  • Counsel patients on prescription and OTC medications, providing clear and helpful advice

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or working manager
  • Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy operations, especially in hospital outpatient settings
  • Excellent communication skills for provider consultation and patient interaction
  • Ability to supervise pharmacy staff effectively while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and patient safety

This is a contract position with a 13-week duration, starting as soon as possible. It offers a consistent weekday schedule without nights or weekend obligations. The role focuses on supporting patient transitions from hospital care through thorough medication management and counseling.
