A 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge for a 13-week contract assignment starting ASAP. This opportunity involves managing pharmacy operations within a rehabilitative healthcare setting, requiring a pharmacist ready to take on PIC responsibilities without the pressure of being an extraordinary Director of Pharmacy.
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee order verification to ensure accurate dispensing
- Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technicians’ activities
- Consult and communicate effectively with nursing staff and physicians
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations
- Support daily pharmacy operations and ensure quality patient care
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active Florida pharmacist license required
- Experience in a hospital or rehab setting highly preferred
- Willingness to accept Pharmacist-in-Charge duties and leadership responsibilities
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
