An inpatient behavioral health facility is seeking an Interim Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires immediate availability and offers a contract duration of approximately four weeks until permanent staffing is secured.
Location: St Charles, MO
Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (30-minute unpaid meal break)
Duration: Approximately 4 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily pharmacy operations and ensure adherence to all applicable regulations.
- Oversee medication repackaging processes using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems.
- Load drugs into automated dispensing machines and run restock reports.
- Supervise pharmacy staff and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize medication use and patient safety.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Missouri Pharmacist license required.
- Experience with Omnicell systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with repackaging medications and automated dispensing technology.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a behavioral health inpatient setting.
