An opportunity is available for a seasoned Long-Term Care Pharmacist in Charge to lead and manage a closed-door pharmacy serving approximately 600 prescriptions daily. This role prioritizes candidates with substantial LTC pharmacy management experience and a proven ability to sustain regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
  • Manage daily pharmacy operations, including prescription dispensing and patient counseling.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of pharmacy transactions and inventory controls.
  • Develop and enforce policies to promote safe, efficient pharmacy workflows.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy staff, cultivating a high-quality service environment.
  • Oversee medication inventory, balancing stock adequacy with waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurers to resolve medication-related issues.
  • Address customer questions and concerns with professional and timely responses.
  • Stay informed on pharmacy industry developments and regulatory updates.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and conduct regular compliance audits.
  • Maintain a safe, clean workspace compliant with infection control standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active and clear Massachusetts Pharmacist license.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in Long-Term Care pharmacy.
  • Recent pharmacy management experience, preferably within LTC settings.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software systems, willingness to train on Frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Schedule Details:

  • Primarily daytime hours Monday through Friday, with occasional evening coverage.
  • Weekend shifts as needed.
