A remote Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) role is available to support an out-of-state mail-order pharmacy operation with a Tennessee license. This position offers a unique balance of regulatory responsibility and flexibility, ideal for a licensed pharmacist seeking a low-time-commitment opportunity combined with full-time compensation. The primary duty is to ensure compliance and licensing support with minimal onsite presence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the designated Tennessee Pharmacist In Charge for licensing and regulatory purposes.
  • Completing initial and renewal licensing documentation with the Board of Pharmacy.
  • Performing quarterly on-site compliance inspections at the Nashville-area location.
  • Reviewing portable oxygen patient accounts to ensure annual prescription renewals.
  • Conducting physical inspections of oxygen tank storage and compliance areas.
  • Verifying current and properly posted hours of operation and licenses.
  • Completing inspection checklists and communicating required follow-up actions.
  • Assisting with additional regulatory and compliance duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing.
  • Residency within Tennessee.
  • Minimum of 3 years of pharmacist experience preferred; candidates with less experience may be considered.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Comfortable with PIC responsibilities and regulatory documentation.
  • Ability to travel locally for quarterly inspections.

Schedule and Location:

  • 40 hours per week guaranteed.
  • Primarily remote with quarterly onsite visits (approximately 1 hour each) near Nashville.
  • Contract duration: 13+ weeks.
  • Start date: ASAP, targeting by the end of October.
