Pharmacist in Charge in Gardnerville, NV

Provide leadership as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for an interim 6-8 week contract position at a retail pharmacy location in the Reno, NV area. This role requires licensed pharmacists able to assume full PIC responsibilities under the Nevada Board of Pharmacy. The position offers the opportunity to manage an experienced technician team and maintain high pharmacy standards in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Assume all duties and compliance responsibilities as Nevada PIC.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.
• Lead and support an experienced pharmacy technician team.
• Manage workflow to deliver excellent patient care and customer service.
• Ensure proper handling of medications, prescriptions, and record-keeping.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Active Pharmacist license in the state of Nevada.
• Eligibility and willingness to assume PIC designation under NV Board of Pharmacy.
• Previous experience as a Pharmacist in Charge preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management software and regulatory standards.
