Provide leadership and management as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for an interim period of 6 to 8 weeks at a retail pharmacy location in Nevada. This contract role requires a licensed pharmacist ready to take on PIC responsibilities in accordance with Nevada Board of Pharmacy regulations, overseeing pharmacy operations and leading a skilled technician team.

Location:

  • Reno, NV

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations and workflow management.
  • Lead, support, and collaborate with an experienced technician team to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory, verify prescriptions, and ensure accuracy in medication dispensing.
  • Handle any issues related to controlled substances and safety standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison with the Nevada Board of Pharmacy regarding PIC duties.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Active pharmacist license in the state of Nevada, eligible to assume Pharmacist in Charge responsibilities.
  • Proven experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or in a supervisory role within a retail pharmacy setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a pharmacy team effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

This contract assignment begins Monday, May 11, with an expected duration of 6 to 8 weeks. Candidates should be prepared to start promptly and manage day-to-day PIC operations while supporting a well-established team.
