Pharmacist in Charge in Garland, TX

This opportunity is for a Pharmacist in Charge role, offering a 13-week assignment starting ASAP with a flexible part-time schedule (approximately 20 hours per week). The position supports a high-volume retail and mail-order pharmacy, handling script volumes between 1,000 to 1,500 prescriptions per day. The shift primarily covers first shift, with flexibility to accommodate days or mid shifts based on candidate availability.

Licensure Requirements:

• Must hold an active pharmacist license in Alabama and Texas.
• Additional licenses considered a plus: Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, Oklahoma.
• Highly desirable but not mandatory: Michigan, Massachusetts, Maryland, Louisiana, Mississippi, West Virginia, Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska.

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Manage inbound phone calls from patients and physician offices concerning medication-related inquiries.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize DRx pharmacy software to manage workflow and documentation.
