A part-time Pharmacist in Charge opportunity is available with a 13-week assignment starting ASAP, ideally on 8/12, in Irving, Texas. This role offers flexibility with first shift hours, with the possibility to accommodate day or mid-shift availability, and is ideal for a candidate licensed in both Texas and Alabama.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage inbound calls from patients and physician offices concerning medication-related inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations as the pharmacist in charge.
  • Maintain documentation and oversee operational aspects of the pharmacy during assigned shifts.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active pharmacist licenses in Texas and Alabama are required.
  • Additional pharmacy licenses in Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Michigan, Massachusetts, Maryland, Louisiana, Mississippi, West Virginia, Kansas, Kentucky, or Nebraska are advantageous.
  • Experience working in a high-volume retail or mail-order pharmacy environment.
  • Proficient with DRx pharmacy software or similar systems.
  • Strong communication skills for patient and provider interactions.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Location:

  • Irving, Texas, with a script volume of 1,000 – 1,500 prescriptions per day.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
  • First shift preferred; flexible to work days or mid-shifts.
