Pharmacist in Charge - Georgetown, DE

An immediate opening is available for a Pharmacist/Pharmacy Manager to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge at a 36-bed rehabilitation hospital located in Georgetown, DE. This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with leadership experience in a hospital pharmacy setting who is comfortable managing pharmacy operations while actively providing medication dispensing and clinical services.

Location: Georgetown, DE

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage may be required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmacy staffing as a working pharmacist for 40 hours per week
• Hold the role of Pharmacist-in-Charge overseeing daily pharmacy operations
• Manage, supervise, and coordinate the activities of pharmacy technicians (1 full-time and PRN technician team)
• Utilize the Wellsky hospital pharmacy information system to support medication order review and dispensing
• Operate Pyxis automation system effectively for medication distribution
• Perform IV compounding duties; no chemotherapy compounding involved
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies related to pharmacy services

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist eligible to practice in the state
• Prior Pharmacist-in-Charge or pharmacy manager experience preferred
• Experience with hospital pharmacy operations and management in a rehabilitation or similar setting
• Proficiency with hospital pharmacy systems such as Wellsky and Pyxis
• IV compounding experience mandatory
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to support teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment
