An excellent leadership opportunity awaits for a licensed Pharmacist in Charge to lead pharmacy operations at a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. This role demands a proactive and reliable professional who can oversee pharmacy compliance and daily functions while fostering a highly efficient and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
- Manage daily pharmacy operations, including prescription dispensing and medication counseling.
- Maintain accurate records covering prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances.
- Develop and implement policies to ensure safe, efficient pharmacy services.
- Lead and support pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, providing performance feedback and training.
- Oversee medication inventory alongside the inventory manager to balance supply with demand and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other partners to resolve medication-related issues.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints with effective communication and service.
- Stay informed on pharmacy industry trends, medications, and regulatory updates to maintain best practices.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and resolve compliance or safety concerns.
- Maintain a safe workplace following infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current and clear Kentucky Pharmacist license.
- 2-4 years of experience in long-term care pharmacy.
- Recent pharmacy management experience, ideally in an LTC setting.
- Strong focus on reliability and excellent attendance is critical.
- Experience or willingness to learn Frameworks pharmacy software.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, day shifts.
- Evening and weekend coverage only when necessary.
