IV Compounding Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Gilbert, Arizona

This role offers an opportunity to serve as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with a specialty focus on non-sterile compounding within a dynamic, independently owned pharmacy. The position is based on-site in Tempe, AZ, with the potential for limited remote hours each week, supporting a growing telemedicine fulfillment practice. This temp-to-hire opportunity provides a pathway to a permanent salary ranging from $150,000 to $170,000, with flexibility for the right candidate.

Location: Tempe, AZ (on-site)
Schedule:

• Monday–Friday
• 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  Remote Flexibility: Possible limited remote hours weekly

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing regulatory compliance and pharmacy operations
• Perform final verification of non-sterile compounded preparations
• Review and approve compounding formulas, batch records, and quality documentation
• Ensure adherence to USP standards and California and Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Collaborate closely with the existing PIC and pharmacy team to maintain efficient daily workflow

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active California Pharmacist License (required)
• Active Arizona Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain (preferred)
• Experience in non-sterile compounding strongly preferred
• Prior PIC experience or readiness to assume PIC responsibilities
• Ability to work on-site in Tempe, AZ, Monday through Friday

This role exists to support expanding California telemedicine services and requires a CA-licensed PIC to maintain compliance alongside the current PIC. The position begins as soon as possible and extends for 13 weeks, with the potential for permanent placement thereafter.
