IV Compounding Pharmacist in Charge in Glendale, AZ

A growing non-sterile compounding pharmacy specializing in dermatology, hormone replacement therapy, hair restoration, wellness, and weight management is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to join their team. This temp-to-hire opportunity is based on-site in Tempe, AZ, with potential for limited remote hours weekly. The position is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance as the pharmacy expands its telemedicine fulfillment services nationwide.

Location: Tempe, AZ (on-site)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract to Hire (13 weeks)
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, providing regulatory oversight and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements
• Perform final verification checks on all non-sterile compounded preparations
• Review and approve compounding formulas, batch records, and quality control documentation
• Ensure all practices meet USP standards and CA/AZ Board of Pharmacy regulations
• Collaborate closely with the existing PIC and pharmacy team to maintain smooth operational workflow

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active California Pharmacist License (required, non-negotiable)
• Active Arizona Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain preferred
• Proven experience with non-sterile compounding procedures strongly preferred
• Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or readiness to confidently assume this leadership role
• Ability to work on-site full-time in Tempe, AZ
