This position seeks a qualified Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide regulatory oversight and compliance for a specialized compounding pharmacy. The role focuses on ensuring safe and compliant preparation of non-sterile compounded medications, working collaboratively with an experienced pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, maintaining regulatory compliance and oversight
  • Perform final verification of non-sterile compounded prescriptions and preparations
  • Review and approve compounding formulas, batch records, and quality assurance documentation
  • Ensure adherence to USP standards and CA/AZ Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • Collaborate with the existing PIC and pharmacy staff to support daily pharmacy operations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active California Pharmacist License is required
  • Active Arizona Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain is preferred
  • Proven experience in non-sterile compounding strongly preferred
  • Prior experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or readiness to assume PIC responsibilities
  • Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday in Tempe, AZ

Schedule and Location:

  • Monday–Friday, standard business hours (7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
  • Primarily on-site in Tempe, AZ, with potential for some remote hours weekly based on client flexibility

This Temp-to-Hire position offers a 13-week initial assignment with the opportunity for permanent placement, featuring a competitive salary range for the right candidate.
