Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Greenfield, Massachusetts

A dynamic opportunity awaits for a licensed pharmacist eager to take on a leadership role in an independent retail pharmacy setting. This 13-week contract-to-hire position offers the chance to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), or as a staff pharmacist looking to step into a management role. The pharmacy operates with a dedicated team of three technicians and handles approximately 100 prescriptions daily, providing a busy yet manageable workflow within a supportive environment.

Location:

• Greenfield, MA

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations as PIC or support operations as a staff pharmacist with a pathway to management
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate and timely prescription processing
• Utilize Computer RX system for order entry and prescription management
• Maintain compliance with Massachusetts state pharmacy regulations
• Provide patient counseling and support as needed and uphold the highest standards of patient care

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current Massachusetts pharmacy license
• Solid background in retail pharmacy operations
• Prior PIC experience is highly desirable; however, motivated staff pharmacists interested in a leadership role will be considered
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a small team environment
