An inpatient behavioral health facility in Columbia, MO is seeking an Interim Pharmacist in Charge/Director of Pharmacy to oversee pharmacy operations while a permanent candidate is being hired. This role is ideal for a licensed Missouri pharmacist with leadership experience and knowledge of inpatient medication management systems.

Location: Columbia, MO
Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health
Assignment Start: April 29, with two days of cross-training; solo work begins May 1 until permanent hire
Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • 30-minute unpaid meal break

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Oversee medication dispensing and repackaging processes
  • Utilize knowledge of Omnicell systems to load drugs and run restock reports
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient care needs
  • Maintain documentation and inventory management to ensure seamless pharmacy services

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Missouri pharmacist license required
  • Experience with Omnicell automation systems preferred
  • Familiarity with medication repackaging using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems is highly desirable
  • Basic knowledge of loading drugs into automated dispensing machines and running restock reports
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage pharmacy workflow efficiently
