An opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge/Director of Pharmacy at a behavioral health inpatient facility in Columbia, MO. The assignment begins with cross-training starting April 29, followed by solo responsibilities beginning May 1. This role will continue until a permanent hire is made. The position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid meal break.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations within an inpatient behavioral health setting.
- Manage medication dispensing processes and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Supervise pharmacy staff and collaborate with hospital teams.
- Utilize automated medication systems for repackaging and restocking tasks.
- Generate and review restock reports to maintain inventory accuracy.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Missouri Pharmacist license is required.
- Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with repackaging medications using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL systems is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of loading drugs into automated machines and running restock reports.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage pharmacy operations effectively.
