A growing specialty pharmacy focusing on GLP-1 medications, allergy treatments, and immunotherapies seeks an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead operations and regulatory compliance. This direct-hire role is based in Henderson, NV, offering an excellent growth opportunity for candidates passionate about specialty pharmacy services.
The PIC will play a pivotal role in expanding the pharmacy team by hiring and mentoring pharmacists and technicians. With a dedicated Compliance consultant onboard to support regulatory adherence, you will ensure all operations meet USP <797>, <800>, FDA, and state board standards. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining multi-state compliance, particularly with California’s rigorous requirements.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, day shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as designated Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring full compliance with sterile compounding and multi-state pharmacy regulations
- Oversee sterile compounding workflows, quality assurance, environmental monitoring, and documentation
- Develop, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Hire, train, and supervise pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
- Manage all pharmacy inspections, audits, and regulatory interactions
- Collaborate with leadership on operational strategies, licensing expansions, and business growth initiatives
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Nevada pharmacy license required; California license strongly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in hospital, infusion, or specialty pharmacy settings
- Ability to obtain additional licenses as the business expands
- Strong regulatory knowledge including USP <797>/<800>, FDA, and multi-state pharmacy requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to foster a positive team environment
