This opportunity calls for a qualified Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead a newly established sterile compounding pharmacy operation. Positioned in a growing compounding pharmacy setting, the role offers the chance to step in promptly and guide the launch of sterile compounding services within a supportive, low-stress startup environment backed by remote clinical and operational leadership.
Location: Doral, FL
Type: Part-Time Contract (~20 hours/week)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the official Pharmacist-in-Charge with your name on the pharmacy license.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws through regulatory oversight.
- Support operational workflows related to the sterile compounding launch.
- Review and maintain policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy Operations, onboarding mid-February.
- Provide pharmacist coverage during operational hours as needed.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active Florida Pharmacist License (required).
- Multi-state licensure highly preferred, especially in states like AK, IL, IA, KS, MI, NE, VA, TX, KY, WV; other states such as OH, MA, and LA are a plus.
- Previous experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager with full responsibility.
- Strong expertise in pharmacy compliance and operational management.
- Experience or willingness to learn compounding (sterile and/or non-sterile).
- Background in pharmacy start-ups or retail pharmacy considered beneficial.
About the Pharmacy:
This newly built facility focuses on GLP-1 medications, hormone replacement therapy, and female hormone medications, with plans to add testosterone products. The small team—about 5 on-site employees—is supported by a national telehealth affiliate, providing strong remote support as the sterile operation prepares to launch.
