An established community retail pharmacy in Hugoton, KS, is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist-In-Charge to lead daily operations and ensure regulatory compliance. This role offers a direct-hire opportunity to manage a well-rounded team and contribute to high-quality patient care in a pharmacy serving approximately 100–150 prescriptions daily. The pharmacy operates with Liberty software and is a 340B covered-entity retail pharmacy, providing a dynamic work environment for a professional looking to make a tangible impact.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the official Pharmacist-In-Charge, overseeing all pharmacy operations and ensuring smooth workflow.
  • Supervise pharmacists, including PRN and contract staff, as well as pharmacy technicians and support personnel.
  • Review and verify prescriptions, accurately dispense medications, and provide thorough patient counseling.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Kansas Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA, FDA, HIPAA, and other relevant legislation.
  • Manage 340B pharmacy functions, including compliance monitoring, inventory replenishment, pricing, and reimbursement processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of controlled substances, manage relationships with wholesalers, and oversee PSAO/PBM partnerships.
  • Develop and uphold pharmacy policies, procedures, quality standards, and ensure audit preparation readiness.

Qualifications:

  • PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited program.
  • Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in Kansas with eligibility to serve as Pharmacist-In-Charge.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting preferred.
  • Previous supervisory, PIC, or leadership experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge or experience with 340B program preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to obtain Oklahoma licensure/registration for cross-border dispensing responsibilities.
  • BLS/AED certification upon hire or ability to obtain within 60 days.
