Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Hugoton, Kansas

Take on a vital leadership role in a community retail pharmacy serving approximately 100 to 150 prescriptions daily. This position offers the opportunity to serve as the Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) in a Liberty software-based environment, ensuring exceptional pharmacy operations and patient care while supporting a 340B covered-entity pharmacy program.

Responsibilities include overseeing all day-to-day pharmacy functions, supervising pharmacists, PRN/contract pharmacists, technicians, and support staff. You will review and verify prescriptions, dispense medications, and provide patient counseling with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance. Key compliance areas include Kansas Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, controlled substances, HIPAA, and more. Additional duties involve managing 340B pharmacy operations such as compliance, inventory replenishment, pricing, reimbursement, and split-billing workflows. Maintaining pharmacy policies, procedures, quality standards, and audit readiness will also be essential.

Desired Qualifications:

• PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program
• Active, unrestricted Kansas Pharmacist license
• Eligibility to serve as PIC in Kansas
• 1–2 years of retail/community pharmacy experience preferred
• Previous PIC, supervisory, or leadership experience preferred but not required
• Experience with 340B programs preferred but not mandatory
• Willingness to obtain Oklahoma licensure/registration for cross-border dispensing
• BLS/AED certification upon hire or ability to obtain within 60 days
