This opportunity is for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role in Wichita Falls, TX, at a closed-door pharmacy embedded within a behavioral health hospital setting. The pharmacy operates independently from the clinic though it serves the hospital exclusively, focusing on behavioral health medications with a script count of approximately 350-400 per day.

This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The PIC will oversee pharmacy operations utilizing Enterprise RX software in a setting that employs automation and streamlined workflows to support high-volume prescription fulfillment without administering vaccines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead pharmacy operations in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
  • Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including a pharmacist and technicians
  • Coordinate efficient medication dispensing focused exclusively on behavioral health drugs
  • Ensure adherence to protocols specific to a behavioral health population and closed-door environment
  • Utilize Enterprise RX software for prescription processing and inventory management

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Licensed pharmacist in Texas (TX License) is required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a PIC or in pharmacy management
  • At least 2 years of pharmacist experience, retail background acceptable
  • Knowledge of behavioral health medications is a plus

Additional Details:

  • The role’s urgency is driven by the current PIC’s departure on March 6th, creating an immediate need for coverage
  • This is a local-only contract-to-hire position requiring the candidate to be onsite in Wichita Falls
