Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Jacksonville Beach, Florida

A 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville Beach, FL is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist-in-Charge for a 13-week contract. This role involves managing pharmacy operations with accountability for medication order verification and supervising pharmacy technicians. The ideal candidate will bring a practical and responsible approach to fulfilling PIC duties rather than seeking a high-level Director of Pharmacy position.

Location: Jacksonville Beach, FL
Position Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians
• Consult with nurses and physicians regarding medication therapies
• Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Manage daily pharmacy workflow and operations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Florida pharmacist license required
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Willingness to take on Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
