A 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville Beach, FL seeks a qualified pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) on a 13-week contract assignment. This position offers the opportunity to take on PIC responsibilities within a collaborative healthcare setting, supporting patient care and pharmacy operations.
The ideal candidate will hold an active Florida pharmacist license and possess some hospital pharmacy experience, which is highly preferred but not mandatory. The role calls for a pharmacist ready to assume supervisory duties without the expectation of being a standout Director of Pharmacy. This position focuses on dependable pharmacy management in a rehab hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee order verification ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols
- Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians in daily operations
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to support medication-related needs and patient care
- Maintain pharmacy regulatory compliance and inventory management
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Florida pharmacist license
