A 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a licensed pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) on a 13-week contract assignment. This role also includes Interim Director of Pharmacy (DOP) responsibilities, focusing on pharmacy operations without requiring an extensive leadership background—ideal for a pharmacist ready to step into PIC duties.
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shifts
Duration: 13 weeks, starting ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to protocols.
- Provide pharmaceutical consultation to nurses and physicians, enhancing patient care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies related to pharmacy operations.
- Manage daily pharmacy operations as the Interim PIC/DOP.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Florida pharmacist license.
- Experience in a hospital setting is highly preferred to ensure familiarity with inpatient pharmacy operations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage pharmacy staff and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Willingness to assume the responsibilities of PIC and DOP roles.
