A 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to serve as the Interim Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and Director of Pharmacy (DOP) for a 13-week contract assignment. This role offers an opportunity to apply your pharmacy expertise in a hospital setting while overseeing essential pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and manage daily workflow
- Collaborate and consult with nurses and physicians to optimize patient care
- Maintain clear communication with healthcare team members regarding medication therapy
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, day shifts
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Pharmacist license is required
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience is highly preferred
