A 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a pharmacist to step into the role of Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC). This contract position offers the opportunity to oversee pharmacy operations in a hospital setting, taking on PIC duties without the pressure of serving as a Director of Pharmacy. If you hold a Florida pharmacist license and have some hospital experience, this role could be a great fit.
Responsibilities:
- Order verification to ensure accurate and safe medication dispensing
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support
- Collaborate and consult with nurses and physicians regarding patient medication therapy
- Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory pharmacy standards
- Serve as the Interim PIC/DOP, managing pharmacy operations during the contract period
Qualifications:
- Current Florida pharmacist license required
- Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred, ideally with rehab or acute care exposure
- Ability and willingness to assume PIC responsibilities and leadership duties
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare teams

- Monday through Friday, day shifts
