A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist-in-Charge at a 50-bed rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, FL, starting ASAP. This role is well-suited for a pharmacist ready to assume PIC responsibilities without the need to be a “superstar” director of pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee order verification processes ensuring accuracy and safety
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations
- Collaborate and consult with nursing staff and physicians on medication-related issues
- Manage inventory and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations
Qualifications:
- Active Florida pharmacist license required
- Hospital pharmacy experience highly preferred, but not mandatory
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively coordinate within a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to take on Pharmacist-in-Charge duties and responsibilities
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, day shifts
