An immediate opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge at a Behavioral Health inpatient facility located in St Charles, MO. This contract assignment is expected to last approximately four weeks, providing leadership until a permanent pharmacist in charge is hired. The role involves maintaining pharmacy operations and supporting medication management systems in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Location: St Charles, MO
Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health
Duration: Approximately 4 weeks
Shift/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute unpaid meal break)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Manage medication distribution, including repackaging processes using systems like Milt/Medi-dose or HCL.
  • Operate and maintain automated drug dispensing machines such as Omnicell and perform restock reporting.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care and pharmacy functions.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Missouri Pharmacist license is required.
  • Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with repackaging medication and using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL repackaging systems is highly desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of loading medications into automated machines and running restock reports.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage pharmacy workflow effectively.
