An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in Charge at an inpatient behavioral health facility in St Charles, MO. This role is ideal for a licensed Missouri pharmacist with experience in managing pharmacy operations, particularly in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
- Manage medication repackaging processes, including using systems such as Milt/Medi-dose or HCL.
- Utilize Omnicell or similar automated dispensing systems for drug loading and restock reporting.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient medication needs and inventory management.
- Serve in a leadership capacity during the transition period until a permanent Pharmacist in Charge is appointed.
Qualifications:
- Current Missouri Pharmacist license is required.
- Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in medication repackaging practices is desirable.
- Familiarity with automated drug loading and inventory restocking procedures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage pharmacy department effectively.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid meal break.
