Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Jefferson City, Missouri

An immediate opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge at an inpatient behavioral health facility in St Charles, MO. This contract role offers a chance to lead pharmacy operations and ensure seamless medication management during a transitional period of approximately four weeks until a permanent hire is made.

Location:

• St Charles, Missouri

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 30-minute unpaid meal break

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee pharmacy operations in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies
• Manage medication distribution and ensure proper repackaging using systems like Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL
• Utilize Omnicell technology for medication management, including loading drugs and running restock reports
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support inpatient behavioral health medication needs
• Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and maintain accurate documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Missouri pharmacist license is required
• Proven experience with Omnicell systems preferred
• Familiarity with repackaging procedures and usage of automated medication machines
• Knowledge of behavioral health pharmacy practices is advantageous
• Strong organizational and leadership skills during pharmacy transitional phases
