An expanding healthcare organization is seeking a seasoned Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to spearhead the launch and daily operations of a new outpatient community pharmacy in the Newark, NJ area. This full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity offers a pivotal leadership role overseeing pharmacy functions and fostering a high-performing team from the ground up.

Location: Newark, NJ
Schedule:

  • Monday through Saturday
  • Daytime operating hours

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize daily pharmacy operations and workflow
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory pharmacy standards
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop pharmacy staff to enhance performance
  • Oversee inventory management and maintain quality assurance programs
  • Provide clinical oversight and deliver patient counseling services
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and organizational leadership
  • Support the successful launch and growth of the pharmacy

Qualifications:

  • Active New Jersey Pharmacist license required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist-in-Charge
  • Proven background in community pharmacy settings
  • Demonstrated ability to lead pharmacy operations and teams
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management systems such as PrimeRx or MicroMerchant advantageous
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
