Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

A leadership position is available for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee the comprehensive operations of a 503A compounding pharmacy. This role holds full accountability for the safe, compliant, and efficient management of prescription fulfillment as well as sterile and non-sterile compounding activities.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the legally designated PIC for non-resident state pharmacy licenses.
• Act as the main liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and other regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP standards, including reporting operational or ownership changes.
• Lead daily operations encompassing fulfillment, quality assurance, personnel training, and environmental monitoring.
• Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
• Oversee batch record creation, review, and approval processes.
• Collaborate on production scheduling to maintain timely delivery, inventory control, and capacity planning.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager.
• In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and associated state and federal regulations relevant to 503A compounding.
• Proven experience managing audits and regulatory inspections effectively.

• Kennett Square, PA

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
• Flexible availability on Saturdays as needed
