Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned pharmacist ready to oversee all aspects of a specialized compounding pharmacy’s operations. As the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) / Pharmacy Director, you will hold comprehensive responsibility for the safe and compliant fulfillment of prescriptions, ensuring adherence to rigorous state, federal, and FDA 503A standards. This role is critical in maintaining the highest levels of quality and regulatory compliance within a 503A compounding pharmacy setting.

Location:

• Kennett Square, PA

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Flexible availability on Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the legally designated PIC for all related non-resident state pharmacy licenses
• Act as the primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, regulatory agencies, inspectors, and auditors
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of operational, ownership, or facility changes
• Oversee all sterile and non-sterile compounding operations adhering to 503A and USP standards
• Lead quality assurance initiatives, environmental monitoring, and continuous improvement efforts
• Supervise and mentor pharmacists, supervisors, technicians, and production staff
• Manage daily batch documentation, scheduling, inventory, and capacity planning

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager
• In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and applicable state and federal regulations for 503A compounding
• Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections
