Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead operations at a 503A compounding pharmacy specializing in sterile and non-sterile preparations. The role demands a strong focus on regulatory compliance and operational excellence in a highly specialized pharmacy environment.

Location: Kennett Square, PA
Position Type: 13-week contract with potential for permanent placement
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Flexible Saturdays as needed

Responsibilities:

• Legally designated PIC for non-resident state pharmacy licenses, ensuring full regulatory compliance under state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP standards (USP <795>, <797>, <800>)
• Serve as primary liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and other regulatory bodies
• Manage operational reporting including changes in ownership, facility, or PIC status
• Direct daily sterile and non-sterile compounding operations, including batch record management and production scheduling
• Lead quality assurance initiatives to maintain and enhance continuous improvement processes
• Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff to ensure efficient and safe pharmacy operations

Qualifications:

• Valid PA Pharmacist License
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager
• Proven expertise in managing USP and FDA regulations specific to 503A compounding pharmacies
• Experience successfully leading audits and regulatory inspections
