This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead operations at a 503A compounding pharmacy in Kennett Square, PA. This role offers a 13-week contract with potential for permanent hire and plays a critical leadership role overseeing all aspects of pharmacy compliance, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Legally serve as the PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses, unless otherwise assigned
  • Act as primary liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory bodies
  • Ensure accurate reporting of operational, ownership, facility, or PIC status changes
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, maintaining full regulatory compliance under state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP standards
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff
  • Manage daily batch record processes, production scheduling, inventory control, and capacity planning

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
  • Minimum 5 years experience as Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager
  • Thorough knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and relevant 503A regulations
  • Proven expertise in leading audits and regulatory inspections

Location:

  • Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Flexible Saturdays as needed
