Pharmacist-in-Charge – Kennett Square, PA

An established 503A compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead and manage all aspects of pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance, quality, and efficiency within a high-performing team. This role carries full responsibility for regulatory adherence under state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP standards, while directing daily sterile and non-sterile compounding, quality assurance, environmental monitoring, and personnel training.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses, representing the pharmacy before Boards of Pharmacy and regulatory agencies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact during inspections, audits, and reporting operational or ownership changes.
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations, ensuring processes meet USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards.
  • Lead and supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
  • Manage batch record creation, review, and approval to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate on production scheduling, inventory management, and capacity planning to support timely product delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience serving as PIC or Pharmacy Manager.
  • In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and 503A compounding regulations.
  • Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively direct multi-disciplinary teams.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
  • Flexibility for Saturdays as needed.
