Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

An established 503A compounding pharmacy seeks an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) / Pharmacy Director to lead and manage all aspects of sterile and non-sterile compounding operations. This critical leadership role ensures full regulatory compliance and operational excellence, overseeing fulfillment, quality assurance, environmental monitoring, and personnel training within a state-of-the-art facility.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Flexible Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as legally designated PIC across all non-resident state pharmacy licenses.
• Act as primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of operational or ownership changes and facility modifications.
• Oversee all sterile and non-sterile compounding operations, including batch record creation, review, and approval.
• Lead pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff in daily operations.
• Support production scheduling to maintain on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and capacity planning.
• Drive quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid PA Pharmacist License.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as PIC or Pharmacy Manager.
• In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and state/federal regulations applicable to 503A compounding pharmacies.
• Proven track record managing audits and regulatory inspections.
