Lead pharmacy operations in a specialized 503A Compounding Pharmacy setting, ensuring excellence in sterile and non-sterile compounding, regulatory compliance, and team leadership. This contract-to-hire role offers the opportunity to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and Pharmacy Director, overseeing all facets of pharmacy fulfillment with full accountability for state, federal, FDA, and USP compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the legally designated Pharmacist-in-Charge for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses.
  • Act as the primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage proper reporting related to operational, ownership, and facility changes, including PIC transitions.
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations, ensuring safe and compliant practices.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives and foster continuous improvement programs.
  • Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
  • Oversee batch record creation, review, and approval, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support production scheduling to maintain on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and capacity utilization.

Qualifications:

  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager.
  • In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and relevant state and federal regulations governing 503A compounding operations.
  • Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
  • Flexible availability on Saturdays as needed.
