Responsibilities:
- Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders with precision
- Perform and supervise sterile compounding activities in strict accordance with USP <797> and <800> standards
- Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations to ensure safety and accuracy
- Review medication profiles for allergies, drug interactions, dosing, and compatibility
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams
- Supervise, mentor, and support pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff
- Maintain cleanroom standards, aseptic techniques, and environmental monitoring procedures
- Oversee quality assurance, medication safety initiatives, audits, and continuous process improvements
- Manage pharmacy documentation, inventory, controlled substances, and overall pharmacy operations
- Develop and maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training programs
- Lead team meetings and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance including OSHA, DEA, and State Board of Pharmacy standards
- Enforce safety protocols with proper personal protective equipment (PPE) usage
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing
- 3-5 years of sterile compounding experience, including hazardous and non-hazardous compounds, complying with USP, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and time management skills
- Pharmacy management experience
- Preferably 3-5 years of recent experience in home infusion, hospital, or oncology infusion pharmacy
