Pharmacist in Charge in Las Vegas, NV

Step into a leadership role at a newly established specialty pharmacy dedicated to insourcing compounding operations. This permanent Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) position offers a unique chance to shape a growing pharmacy focused on specialized medications including GLP-1s, allergy treatments, and immunotherapies.

Location: Las Vegas, NV
Schedule: Monday – Friday, day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the designated PIC, ensuring full compliance with USP <797>, <800>, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
• Oversee sterile compounding operations, managing workflow, quality assurance, and personnel
• Maintain compliance with multi-state regulations including California and other non-resident states
• Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sterile compounding
• Hire, supervise, and train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
• Coordinate pharmacy inspections, audits, and regulatory interactions
• Manage environmental monitoring, validation, and documentation programs
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and dispensing of compounded sterile products
• Collaborate with leadership on operational strategies, expansion efforts, and licensing initiatives
• Maintain detailed records to guarantee inspection readiness at all times

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Nevada pharmacist license required; California license highly preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hospital, infusion, or specialty pharmacy settings
• Strong knowledge of sterile compounding regulations and practices
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate a pharmacy team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to obtain additional licenses as the pharmacy expands
