This opportunity is for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to serve as an interim leader covering a 16-week paternity leave at a specialized retail HIV/AIDS pharmacy. The assignment begins on August 24, including a 2-week training period alongside the current PIC, followed by 14 weeks of independent responsibility. The location operates as a single-pharmacist site without pharmacy technician support, handling a daily volume of 20-30 prescriptions. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage workflow independently are essential.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate dispensing and management of HIV/AIDS specialty medications.
- Provide exceptional patient care and maintain clear communication with patients and healthcare providers.
- Comply with all regulatory and safety standards as the Pharmacist in Charge.
- Collaborate with the client’s team for ongoing training and support after initial training period.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Florida pharmacist license.
- Minimum of one year retail pharmacy experience.
- Experience with HIV/AIDS medication dispensing is required and must be highlighted on the resume.
- Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of reliability, punctuality, and a positive professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently in a single-pharmacist environment without technician support.
