Pharmacist in Charge - Levittown, PA

This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role within a 503A Compounding Pharmacy. The PIC will serve as the highest-level pharmacy leader accountable for the safe and compliant execution of prescription fulfillment and sterile/non-sterile compounding operations. This position requires full regulatory responsibility encompassing state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP compliance standards while directing daily operations including quality systems, personnel training, and facility readiness.

Term: 13-week contract with potential for permanent hire
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Flexible Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses unless otherwise assigned
• Serve as the primary contact for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies
• Ensure proper reporting of operational or facility changes and PIC transitions
• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations with strict adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards
• Lead quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvements
• Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff
• Manage batch record creation, execution, review, and approval
• Support production scheduling to meet delivery timelines and maintain inventory accuracy

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager
• In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and relevant state and federal 503A regulatory requirements
• Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections
