This opportunity seeks a seasoned Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) / Pharmacy Director to lead and oversee the full spectrum of sterile and non-sterile compounding operations at a reputable 503A compounding pharmacy. The role demands an experienced leader committed to upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the legally designated PIC across all non-resident state pharmacy licenses.
  • Act as the primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure all operational changes, ownership modifications, and facility updates are properly reported.
  • Provide oversight of sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, maintaining compliance with state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP standards.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
  • Manage creation, execution, review, and approval of daily batch records.
  • Support production scheduling to meet delivery timelines, maintain inventory accuracy, and optimize capacity.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active PA Pharmacist License.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager.
  • In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800> standards and relevant state/federal regulations governing 503A pharmacies.
  • Proven experience in leading audits and managing regulatory inspections.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
  • Flexible availability on Saturdays if needed.
