Lead the pharmacy operations at a specialized 503A compounding facility with focus on safety, compliance, and efficiency. This role requires a strategic leader who will oversee both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, ensuring strict adherence to relevant state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the legally designated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses unless otherwise assigned.
- Act as primary liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of operational, ownership, facility, or PIC changes.
- Manage sterile and non-sterile compounding operations, including quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
- Oversee daily batch record creation, review, and approval.
- Support production scheduling to meet delivery deadlines, maintain inventory accuracy, and capacity planning.
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as PIC or Pharmacy Manager.
- Strong knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and applicable state/federal regulations for 503A compounding operations.
- Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Flexibility to work Saturdays if required.
