Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Levittown, Pennsylvania

A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge at a 503A compounding pharmacy. This role demands a professional committed to ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence in a specialized compounding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the legally designated Pharmacist-in-Charge for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses.
• Serve as the primary liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP standards including USP <795>, <797>, and <800>.
• Direct daily operations encompassing sterile and non-sterile compounding, quality assurance, environmental monitoring, and personnel training.
• Supervise and lead pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
• Oversee batch record creation, execution, review, and approval processes.
• Support production scheduling to ensure timely delivery, inventory accuracy, and capacity planning.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager.
• In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and relevant regulatory requirements for 503A compounding pharmacies.
• Proven experience managing audits and regulatory inspections with successful outcomes.

Location:

• Position is based in Levittown, PA.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
• Flexible availability on Saturdays as needed.
