A leadership opportunity is available for a dedicated Long-Term Care Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations at a closed-door LTC facility in Lexington, Kentucky. This direct hire role demands a dependable professional ready to ensure regulatory compliance, enhance patient care, and support pharmacy staff in a fast-paced environment managing around 600 prescriptions daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
- Manage daily pharmacy operations, including prescription dispensing and medication counseling.
- Maintain thorough and accurate pharmacy records, including inventory and controlled substances.
- Develop and implement policies to promote safety and operational efficiency.
- Lead, train, and evaluate pharmacy personnel, fostering a supportive workplace culture.
- Oversee inventory management to balance adequate stock with minimal waste.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance representatives to resolve medication-related issues.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and prompt resolution.
- Stay current on industry trends, new drugs, and regulatory changes to maintain compliance.
- Drive quality improvement projects to optimize patient outcomes and workflow.
- Conduct audits and inspections to enforce safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and clear Kentucky Pharmacist license.
- 2-4 years of experience in Long-Term Care pharmacy settings.

- Strong reliability and attendance record essential.

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, primarily day shifts.
