A leadership opportunity awaits for a committed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy. This role requires a strong, reliable professional to oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring strict compliance with all regulatory requirements and delivering excellent patient care. With a daily volume of approximately 600 prescriptions, your management will shape the efficiency and quality of services provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
  • Manage daily pharmacy operations including prescription dispensing and medication counseling.
  • Maintain accurate records of prescription orders, inventory, and controlled substances.
  • Develop and implement policies to optimize pharmacy safety and efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, providing feedback and training for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee medication inventory and work closely with the inventory manager to balance stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurers to address medication-related issues.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and care.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, new medications, and regulatory changes.
  • Conduct regular audits and maintain a safe, clean pharmacy environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Active and clear KY Pharmacist license.
  • 2–4 years of LTC pharmacy experience.
  • Recent pharmacy management experience, preferably in LTC.
  • Reliability and strong attendance are critical for success in this role.
  • Experience with Frameworks software preferred; training available.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, day shifts.
  • Evening and weekend coverage on an as-needed basis.
