Lead the establishment and operation of a new specialty pharmacy branch designed to enhance patient access to critical specialty medications. This direct hire opportunity involves overseeing all regulatory, operational, and clinical aspects, collaborating closely with specialty care clinics to optimize patient outcomes.

Location: Onsite in Lindale, TX
Schedule: Monday through Friday, hours to be determined

Key Responsibilities:

  • Function as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), ensuring full compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA standards, and accreditation requirements.
  • Manage the build-out and successful opening of the specialty pharmacy, including onboarding insurance contracts and interfacing with regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including accurate dispensing, patient safety protocols, and inventory management.
  • Lead the development and enforcement of policies related to prescription processing, drug storage, and security.
  • Supervise and educate pharmacy staff to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with continuing education.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to support coordinated care, formulary optimization, patient counseling, prior authorizations, and medication access.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives, including medication incident investigations and regulatory audit preparation.
  • Participate in strategic planning efforts for pharmacy growth and service expansion.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous leadership experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager within an outpatient or retail specialty pharmacy setting. Inpatient experience will not be considered.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent advanced degree with an active, unrestricted pharmacist license eligible for PIC designation in Texas.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software systems such as QS1, ComputerRx, PioneerRx, WAM; familiarity with EMR systems and specialty pharmacy platforms is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate specialty medication benefits, prior authorizations, and patient assistance programs, including strong written communication for appeals.
  • A collaborative and professional communicator who thrives in a start-up environment and values teamwork and initiative.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $135,000 to $150,000 plus a performance bonus, equity stake, and unlimited paid time off. Immediate availability is preferred to support the pharmacy launch.
