A well-established compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead regulatory, compliance, and quality assurance functions at its Ohio facility. Core Responsibilities
- Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and additional states as required, ensuring full compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B guidelines.
- Lead and manage regulatory inspections including Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA audits, acting as the primary facility representative.
- Develop, review, and implement SOPs and training programs to maintain quality and compliance.
- Oversee quality assurance and control activities such as batch record review, deviation investigations, environmental monitoring, and validation processes.
- Manage licensure across multiple states and ensure timely regulatory reporting, recall management, and complaint investigations.
- Present quality and compliance metrics to site and corporate leadership and provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing; multi-state licensure preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in pharmacy regulatory and quality roles.
- In-depth knowledge of cGMP, FDA and DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding.
- Proven track record in leading regulatory inspections and maintaining compliance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Preferred: 10+ years in pharma, biotech, or related fields with at least 7 years in quality or compliance leadership roles.
