An established compounding pharmacy is actively seeking a seasoned Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee regulatory, compliance, and quality assurance functions at its Ohio facility. This onsite leadership role involves managing multi-state licensure, ensuring adherence to FDA, DEA, and State Board regulations, and directing quality control operations. The position offers long-term stability and career growth, with relocation assistance and a temp-to-perm option available for candidates open to relocating.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Onsite in Albany, Ohio

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and additional non-resident states as required
  • Lead regulatory compliance ensuring conformity with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B guidelines
  • Manage pharmacist and facility licenses across multiple states
  • Represent the facility during FDA, DEA, and Board of Pharmacy inspections and regulatory meetings
  • Develop, update, and maintain SOPs and staff training programs
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, product recalls, complaint investigations, and quality-related inquiries
  • Direct quality assurance/control including batch reviews, deviation investigations, environmental monitoring, and validation processes
  • Manage the Quality Management System (QMS), change controls, product labeling, and annual product reviews
  • Supervise vendor qualification, incoming materials, and reserve sample programs
  • Present quality metrics to site and corporate leadership teams

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing; multi-state licensure preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience with strong compliance/regulatory expertise
  • Deep knowledge of cGMP, FDA and DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
  • Proven success leading inspections and regulatory audits
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Preferred: 10+ years in pharma, biotech, or medical device industries; 7+ years in quality/compliance roles
