An established compounding pharmacy is seeking a seasoned Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to oversee regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and operational leadership at its onsite facility in Albany, Ohio. This long-term opportunity offers a temp-to-perm option for candidates open to relocating, with relocation assistance available. Candidates who prefer to travel temporarily before committing may also be considered.

Location: Albany, Ohio
Schedule: Monday through Friday, onsite

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and additional state licenses as needed
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
  • Maintain all pharmacist and facility licensure across multiple states
  • Lead inspections and represent the facility during regulatory audits (Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA)
  • Develop, review, and uphold SOPs and training programs
  • Manage regulatory reporting, recalls, complaints, and quality investigations
  • Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams
  • Oversee Quality Assurance/Quality Control activities including batch record review, deviation handling, and environmental monitoring
  • Manage validation processes for equipment, systems, and manufacturing
  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) with change control oversight
  • Review product labeling, annual product reviews, and vendor qualifications
  • Present quality metrics to site and corporate leadership regularly

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing; multi-state licensure preferred
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing teams
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cGMP, FDA/DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
  • Proven track record leading regulatory inspections and audits
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Preferred: 10+ years in pharma, biotech, or medical device industries; 7+ years in quality or compliance roles
