Pharmacist in Charge in Long Beach, CA

A full-time Pharmacy Supervisor role is available within an onsite animal health compounding pharmacy setting in Bakersfield, CA. This position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $160,000 to $185,000 plus bonus potential, with eligibility for benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of pharmacists to achieve productivity and quality goals
• Manage daily compounding operations ensuring smooth workflow and compliance
• Enforce adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards and state regulations
• Maintain accurate training documentation and verify proper compounding procedures
• Assist in drug selection for dispensing and compounded preparations tailored to animal health needs
• Recommend process improvements and drive continuous quality enhancements
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and cross-functional teams as needed
• Uphold confidentiality and company policies rigorously

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, valid California Pharmacist license in good standing
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 2 years of management experience overseeing pharmacy lab personnel
• 2-5 years of hands-on compounding pharmacy experience, preferably in animal health
• Strong expertise in USP <795>, <797>, <800>, State Board regulations, and 503A compounding requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM
