A full-time Pharmacy Supervisor role is available in an animal health and compounding pharmacy setting in Bakersfield, CA. This position leads and supports a team of pharmacists in producing high-quality compounded animal health preparations while ensuring compliance with industry standards and promoting continuous operational improvement.

Location:

  • Bakersfield, CA
  • Onsite

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop pharmacists to achieve productivity and quality standards
  • Oversee daily compounding operations and maintain workflow efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> compounding standards
  • Maintain accurate training records and enforce proper compounding procedures
  • Assist with appropriate drug selection for dispensing and compounding
  • Identify opportunities for process and formulation improvements
  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and cross-functional teams as needed
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with all company policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a pharmacy lab or compounding setting
  • 2–5 years of compounding pharmacy experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, and <800>, State Board regulations, and 503A requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
